Snæfellsjökull National Park, slow life and the ocean briefly in the distance Slow life is plant life
that takes a very long time to grow, just one person trampling these plants can damage the ecosystem
for decades.
Time-lapse length (30 fps): 56 seconds and 13 frames.
Over slow life. The UAS flies over a volcanic landscape and creek. Snæfellsjökull, a volcano in the
background has a sheer drop off for a cliff face on one side. A flat layer of cloud, stratus, is on the
top of Snæfellsjökull. The landscape is covered with slow life, and the formations are practically
unique. The only place to safely walk without trampling vegetation is the creek bed and nearby road.
Interval: none, real-time, full motion video.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
33 seconds and 26 frames.
Slow life, newer lava flows, and a mountain in a cloud. A recently active volcano with very little in
the way of sediment for plant growth. The UAS flies over a volcanic landscape. Shallow, frozen puddles
remain on low points from recent rain. Slow life grows in what little soil there is; this ground is so
new in its life.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
31 seconds and 22 frames.
In a sky that is perfectly clear of clouds, a small mountain valley with a single ridgeline sloping
downwards gently further in the distance, which is lit by the sun slightly longer than the foreground.
The sky quickly turns dark into a night sky, with lights from cars on a road passing, and planes
flying. Over the course of the clip, several hours pass. Facing east at sunset and blue hour is less
typical if this collection.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
16 seconds and 6 frames.
The continuation of another clip. The camera has been reoriented.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
19 seconds and 12 frames.
The continuation of another full motion clip where no interval is used.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
1 minute, 11 seconds and 8 frames.
Glowing, the Nimbus cloud is pink and purple moving away toward the visibly setting sun. No interval is
used (this is a full motion clip). The volcanic landscape that is this ocean side is teeming with
plants and life.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
1 minute, 10 seconds and 1 frame.
The sunset from Pike Creek Vista, Grand Canyon. The northwestward view shows the canyon stretching vast
distances under the sky, which comprises the top quarter of the frame. Mid-level clouds shape the light
above while the landscape shades itself, cliffs and precipices in the dark. The sun disappears below
the horizon in this darkening scene. Original footage from 2005.
Time-lapse length (30 fps):
12 seconds and 13 frames.
